A few questions.
What is Chest?
Chest is the control layer for automated trading on Hyperliquid. Connect a signal provider, your own signals, an AI agent or a wallet to copy. Each Chest is a trading account with its own wallet, settings and decision history.
Can I try it without trading real funds?
Yes. Paper mode uses virtual funds with live market prices. Its balances, orders and positions stay separate from real funds. Simulated execution does not guarantee the same results in live trading.
Where do a provider's numbers come from?
Discover shows a provider’s paper account record after fees. It is a simulated account run by Chest, not subscriber returns. A provider’s page also shows a separate 90-day paper replay, gross of fees, labelled as an estimate. Paper results do not guarantee live results.
How do I connect a trading agent?
Create a scoped API key and connect through REST or MCP. Agent signals use chest:signals:write and wait for a member’s approval. Other keys can read data or execute supported Hyperliquid actions within the permissions and limits you grant.
Does every trade need my approval?
Agent-submitted signals always wait for a member to approve them. Direct trading keys can execute within their permissions and limits when API trading is enabled. Provider and copy-trading entries follow their own execution settings.
What if something goes wrong?
Signals are recorded as executed, refused or waiting. You can set a daily loss limit that stops trading and closes positions, and receive trade alerts on Telegram or email. Live trading can lose money; paper results do not guarantee live ones.
Who holds the wallet keys?
Chest uses Privy server wallets. Privy holds the keys, and Chest’s backend asks Privy to sign transactions. The application enforces membership, scoped API permissions and proposal approvals. These are not an on-chain multisig.
Can people still share a wallet?
Yes. Shared Chests connect to a Telegram group and retain members, contributions, treasury proposals and voting. Trading approvals and treasury proposals are separate workflows.
